Boatshed Dive & Snorkel is a PADI Dive Centre, built from a long-held dream to provide a dive operation willing to tailor dive experiences to the needs, interests & ability levels our customers, rather than the standard offerings of the larger boats.
Our team share a passion for diving and snorkelling and are still amazed by the wonders of our ocean on every single trip. We share a great respect for our marine ecosystems. Our purpose is to help build upon your skills, interests, knowledge & enjoyment of underwater experiences, by sharing our enthusiasm & experience with you.
We offer PADI courses from Open Water through to Dive Master.
We look forward to showcasing our fantastic & lesser-known local dive and snorkel sites of the Southern Gold Coast & aim to provide you with optimum dive experiences. Paul is a born & bred Gold Coast local, who has grown up with a love of the ocean & beach lifestyle. He is happiest in the water- either diving, surfing, fishing or on a boat.
Paul did his Open Water Certification in 1991 with Coolangatta Scuba Centre & since then, has been a regular diver, progressing through to PADI Dive Master with Deep Nitrox and Wrecks specialties. He also holds Technical Dive International (TDI), Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures certifications.
Paul has enjoyed diving in many countries & is fortunate to have a few of the world’s top rated dive sites. He has a passion for wrecks & searching for the weird, wonderful & often elusive creatures of the ocean.
Paul is an AMSA qualified Master <24m, MED 2 and Coxswain. He also is a Marine Rescue QLD Coxswain and has an extensive knowledge of the Gold Coast Waterways.

Camille is the patient wife of Paul, working behind the scenes in all areas of preparation for our charters. She is an avid water lover & snorkeller and loves to join the team, especially to accompany the snorkellers.

Josh loves fishing, diving and being on and around the water.
He is a qualified open water PADI Diver and is building his experience with each dive and trip as a crew member.
Built by Woody Pt Marine in 2007 for Marine Rescue Southport, C Diver is a 6.5m Niad Inflatable. She underwent a full 10 year inspection in 2020 & is in survey for 5 passengers offshore & 7 passengers inshore. Being trailerable, we can operate from either Tweed or Southport Bars to minimise travel times to our dive sites.
